Polite reminders are… politely ignored.
So for Legal Cashier Day, we’re trying something different.
This is a Top‑Secret Message Plane, designed to gently (and humorously) fly into the awareness of a Managing Partner who may not realise just how much quiet work happens every day in accounts.
And yes, the objective is simple:

👉 appreciation
👉 and ideally… cake, lunch, balloons, or something that says “we see you”.
What you’ll need
- The pre‑written Message Plane PDF
- A printer
- A pair of scissors
- About 2 minutes
- A safe space to “fly” a paper plane (use judgement, not HR discipline)
How to use it (simple version)
- Print the PDF
- Use normal A4 paper.
- Print single‑sided if possible.
- Cut first
- Cut off the bottom section marked “Cut this bit off first”.
- This makes the plane fold properly.
- Read the message
- The message is already written inside.
- You don’t need to add anything, it’s ready to go.
- Fold into a paper plane
- Fold in half lengthways.
- Open it back up.
- Fold the top corners into the centre crease.
- Fold the tip down.
- Fold the new corners to the centre.
- Fold the plane in half.
- Fold the wings down.
(If you’ve ever made a paper plane, you’ll be absolutely fine.)
- Choose your moment
- Desk empty? Good.
- Partner out? Also good.
- Aim for noticed, not destructive.
- Fly it
- Gently.
- With dignity.
- Possibly with witnesses.
