This version of the Message Plane is exactly the same, except the inside is blank, so you can write your own message before folding.
Think:
- Dry humour
- Office‑appropriate honesty
- Or something so understated it hurts
What you’ll need
- The blank Message Plane PDF
- A pen
- A printer
- Scissors
- Confidence (borrow some if needed)
Step 1: Write your message first
Before folding anything, write inside the marked area.
Keep it:
- Short
- Readable
- Funny or sincere
- Something that narrows nicely as it reaches the tip of the plane
Examples:
- “Invisible work. Serious responsibility. Cake?”
- “This plane contains compliance, control… and hints.”
- “Legal Cashier Day. Please respond with snacks.”
Step 2: Cut, then fold
- Cut off the bottom section.
- Fold the paper plane using normal paper‑plane folds:
- Fold lengthways
- Corners in
- Tip down
- Corners in again
- Fold in half
- Fold wings
No perfection required. Slight wonkiness adds character.
Step 3: Deploy responsibly
This is not about causing chaos.
It’s about creating a moment.
Aim for:
- Desks, not faces
- Awareness, not disciplinary meetings
- Gentle humour over dramatic flight paths
